It's time to start thinking about our 2017 softball season! Below is some of the current information about the season that we have. The USSSA Sanction Form, work party date, and USSSA Roster Form have been posted on Facebook and are attached.

1) Registration:
Make sure to register your team via email as soon as possible at losalamossoftball@yahoo.com and provide the following information: manager's name, email, and phone number; the team's name; and the gender of the team (men's or women's).

2) Phone Numbers:
Fields (for practices) will be reserved by Los Alamos Parks & Recreation. Their number is 662-8159.

3) Entry Fee:
The entry fee for each team is $575. For teams who send a minimum of 5 players to attend the work party, there will be a $100 refund or credit. The entry fee is due April 15, 2017. All entries must be received by this date, NO EXCEPTIONS. You can bring your check and forms to the work party or you can mail a cashier's check, money order, or a company check to:

4) Forms:
The USSSA Roster form and the USSSA Sanction form are available in the files for the Los Alamos Softball Facebook group and are attached. Your team must complete these forms and return them with the league fees no later than Saturday, April 15, 2017.

5) Work Party:
The work party is Saturday, April 15th from 8:00 am – 12:00 pm. Teams who have at least 5 representatives attend will receive a $100 refund or credit. There will be a sign in sheet there as well as a sign out. If you have a shovel, wheelbarrow, or other tools that will be helpful, please bring them. The focus will be on filling gopher holes, painting dugouts, putting nails back in, and other general field maintenance. These are your fields; let's make them nice to play on! After the work is done, we'll have a BBQ and scrimmages!

6) Preseason Tournament:
The preseason tournament is scheduled for May 6th. Only teams that have paid and submitted the USSSA forms by April 15 will be scheduled. If we have enough teams, we will continue the tournament into May 7th. You will receive your books and softballs before the beginning of the tournament.

7) Regular Season:
Regular season opening week will tentatively be May 15th. The night of play will depend on the number of teams. Games will be Tuesday and Thursday nights. However, if there are enough teams, we will include games on Wednesdays and possibly on Mondays. More information about the regular season will be posted soon.
