The previous league entry fee that I put in the email is not correct. There are some additional expenses that have been occurring over the past few years, and we will need to increase the league fees this year. For the 2012 season, the league entry fee for men's and women's league will be $600. The work party fee will be $50, which will be credited back to your team if you have at least one representative at the work party.

To complete your team's entry into the softball league, you will need the USSSA Sanction form, a completed roster, and a check for $650. The checks should be made payable to Los Alamos Slowpitch. The forms and check can be mailed to the league treasurer at: Jim Robinson, 3202 B Walnut Street, Los Alamos NM 87544. The forms and check can also be dropped off to Joser at LANB, in the main lobby. Please use an envelope and write your team name on it if you are dropping it off at LANB, so that we can keep track of everyone. You can also bring the paperwork to the work party or to the league meeting.

There will be a league meeting at 6:00 on Wednesday, April 11 at Fuller Lodge in Los Alamos.

The work party will be scheduled for Saturday, April 14 at Overlook Park. Meet in the main parking area near the concession stand at 8:00 AM. We usually work until about 12:00. Beverages will be provided by the league. Please bring rakes and shovels. Wheelbarrows are also helpful and seem to be in short supply each year.

Welcome back. I hope that everyone is doing well.

We're about to get underway for the summer men's and women's slow pitch league. We will have more detailed information in the very near future. Co-ed will start in August. There will be more information regarding co-ed later in the year, probably in June.

The pre-season tournament is scheduled for April 28 and April 29 at Overlook Park. The entry fee for the men's and women's league is $600 for the 2012 season. Prior to starting the season, you will need three things. A completed roster, a completed USSSA registration form, and payment of the entry fee.

The checks for the league entry fees should be made payable to Los Alamos Slowpitch.

You can reserve practice fields by calling LA County at 662-8173.

If you play in USSSA tournaments or otherwise are already registered with USSSA prior to our league, let our treasurer know so that we don't pay registration twice. If you don't play in official USSSA events outside of our league, no further registration will be necessary for your team.
